Botswana Unified Revenue Service (BURS) is a semi-autonomous organization of
Government, responsible for assessing and collecting tax revenue as well as border
administration. BURS invites dynamic, self- motivated and qualified citizens of Botswana to
apply for the following post:
- MANAGER, LEGAL SERVICES- LEGISLATION & COMPLIANCE X 1 (GABORONE)
Main Purpose of the Job
To plan, organize, coordinate and manage the delivery of the day-to-day provision of
legislative drafting services to the Legal Services Division, and to ensure that the activities of
BURS are consistent with relevant tax laws and other legislations thereby contributing to the
achievement of BURS objectives, mandate and revenue maximization.
Key Performance Areas - Provision of interpretation of legal instruments
- Drafting of legislation and instruments consistent with Botswana law.

Position Requirements
Qualifications: Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) from any recognized University, or
related. A Master’s Degree in Law, Management, and Taxation will be
an added advantage. Must have been admitted as an Attorney at Law.
Experience: At least Four (4) years relevant post qualification experience within a
legal environment, two (2) of which should have been at the
professional or supervisory level or equivalent.

Salary: BURS 04 (P445, 044 – P540, 408 per annum) - MANAGER, LEGAL SERVICES- BOARD SERVICES X 1 (GABORONE)
Main Purpose of the Job
To process all secretarial duties related to Board Meetings and Board Committee Meetings.
Also to monitor all administrative matters as directed by the head of the Division together with
providing related technical legal services as assigned to ensure that the activities of BURS
are consistent with relevant tax laws and other legislations thereby contributing to the
achievement of BURS’ objectives, mandate, and revenue maximisation.
Key Performance Areas - Ensures timely delivery of secretarial services to BURS Board under close supervision
of the Board Secretary; - Ensures administrative matters relating to Legal Services are handled.
- Representing BURS as Attorney at law.
- Manage and keep BURS Board records in safe custody
Position Requirements
Qualifications: Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) from any recognized University, or
related. A Master’s Degree in Law, Management, and Taxation will be

Salary: BURS 04 (P445, 044 – P540, 408 per annum) - HR BUSINESS PARTNER – HQ x 1 (GABORONE)
Main Purpose of the Job
To deliver quality HR services to the region/function, and the equitable implementation of
delegated HR services and authorities at regional/functional level. A wide range of HR
functions including:
Organisation development
Performance management and improvement
HR development
HR administration
Employee relations
Wellness
With close coordination with strategy planning, research monitoring and reporting, and
business process management teams in order to promote and maintain a motivated,
productive labour force and minimise grievances and disputes arising out of the application
of terms and conditions of employment.
Note: This is a multi-skilled position; HR Business Partners are expected to work in a range
of delivery areas at Regional Offices/functional units to which they are assigned.

Position Requirements
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related
qualification.
Experience: At least six (6) years relevant post qualification experience in diverse

professional or supervisory level or equivalent.
